The Pemberton United Methodist Church reaches out to the community and beyond in a great many ways.  Through our regular support of the church, a portion of that money goes to the Conference and the Global Church to support the efforts being made on a national and global scale.

In addition to that the church has two other Missions that are very active and demonstrate the commitment of God’s people here.

Food Pantry:  Members of the congregation as well as other groups in the community contribute food to our pantry where we support a large number of people with extra food to make their load a little lighter.  A list of needed food is available and contributions from anyone are welcome.  The food pantry is open and staffed the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 10am to 12pm.

Loads of Love: This ministry, conceived by Pastor Hosuk, provides the money and soap at the local Laundry so that those in need might have clean clothes.  It also provides a time to fellowship with members of the community that we might not otherwise encounter. We offer them prayers and a time of learning as they wait for their clothes to wash and dry. Each month on the last Tuesday members are at the local Laundromat from 7 to 9pm.
